Oneness - Unity of Spirit

Why do the heathen rage and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the Earth set themselves and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD and against His anointed. The mighty God has spoken and called the Earth from the rising of the sun unto the going thereof: He shall call to the heavens from above and to the Earth that He may judge his people. For they have consulted together with one consent: They are confederate against you - These have one mind and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. And they were filled with madness and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus Christ. These shall make war with the Lamb and the Lamb shall overcome them: For he is Lord of lords, and King of kings; and they that are with Him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

For the Lord shall judge His people and He shall say: Where are their gods? They provoked Him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations they provoked Him to anger, for their vine is of the vine of Sodom and of the fields of Gomorrah. They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not. You are unmindful and have forgotten God that formed you. See now that I, even I, am He, and there is no god with Me: Neither is there any that can deliver out of My hand.

And the whole Earth was of one language and of one speech. And they said: Let us make ourselves a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole Earth. And the Lord said: Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: And now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined doing. They did not obey but everyone walked in the imagination of their evil heart: Therefore, I will bring upon them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do; but they did not: Everyone shall die for his own iniquity. The Lord did there confound the language of all the Earth: And from thence did the Lord scatter them abroad upon the face of all the Earth. And the Lord said unto the Earth: Two nations are in your womb, and two manners of people shall be separated from your bowels. Cursed be their anger: I will divide them and scatter them.

But man dies and wastes away: yes, man gives up the spirit and, where is he? So, man lies down and rises not: Until the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep. If a man dies, shall he live again? His soul draws near unto the grave and his life to the destroyers. If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, then he is gracious unto him and says: Deliver him from going down to the pit, I have found a ransom: Jesus Christ will deliver his soul from going into the pit and his life shall see the light of the living. For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Know therefore this day, that the Lord, He is God in Heaven above, and upon the Earth beneath: There is none else. You shall keep therefore His statutes, and His commandments, that it may go well with you and with your children after you: You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in Heaven above, or that is in the Earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the Earth - You shall not bow down unto them, nor serve them, for I, the Lord your God, visit the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate Me and show mercy unto thousands of them that love Me and keep My commandments.

If there arises among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or the wonder comes to pass, saying: Let us go after other gods, which you have not known, and let us serve them; you shall not listen: For the Lord your God tries you, to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he has spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, who redeemed you. So, shall you put the evil away from your midst. Therefore, shall you keep My ordinance, that you do not commit any of these abominable customs, that you do not defile yourselves. Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: Because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

If you walk in My statutes, and keep My commandments, and do them; I will respect you and establish my covenant with you. And if you shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhors my judgments, so that you will not do all my commandments, but you break my covenant: I also will do this unto you, I will even appoint terror over you. And if you will not yet for all this listen to me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins. If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, and they then accept the punishment of their iniquity: Then will I remember My covenant.

But you that did cleave to the Lord your God are alive every one of you this day. Only take heed to yourself and keep your soul diligently: Lest you lift your eyes to Heaven and when you see the sun, and the moon, and the stars, all the host of Heaven, you be driven to worship them. There shall not be found among you anyone that makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or that uses divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer: For all that do these things are an abomination to the Lord. Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? Not one. There is none good but one, that is, God.

But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in My Name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.

Everyone that is proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord. Though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished: Diverse weights and diverse measures, both are alike an abomination to the Lord. O my soul, do not come into their secret; unto their assembly, do not become united: For in their self-will, they dug down a wall. No man can serve two masters: For either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will hold to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.

The Lord will be terrible unto them: For He will famish all the gods of the Earth and men shall worship Him. Therefore, wait upon me, says the Lord, until the day that I rise to the prey: For my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them My indignation, even all My fierce anger. For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the Name of the Lord, to serve Him with one consent. And the Lord shall be king over all the Earth: In that day shall there be one Lord, and his Name one. And call no man your father upon the Earth: For one is your Father, who is in Heaven.

When the Son of man shall come in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then shall He sit upon the throne of his glory:

And before him shall be gathered all nations - and He shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides His sheep from the goats. Not everyone that says unto Me: Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of Heaven; but he that does the will of my Father who is in Heaven. Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. And be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers: For what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what concord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has he that believes with an infidel? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God: As God has said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. Wherefore, come out from among them, and be separate, says the Lord, and do not touch the unclean thing; and I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and you shall be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.

So, we, being many, are one body in Christ, and everyone members one of another. So, then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. Do you not know that your bodies are the members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them the members of a harlot? Do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body? For two, says he, shall be one flesh. But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, which you have of God, and you are not your own? For you are bought with a price: Therefore, glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

There is one body, and one Spirit, even as you are called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. Therefore, stand fast in one Spirit, with one mind, striving together for the faith of the gospel; be like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; but speaking the truth in love, may grow up into Him who is the head, even Christ - From whom the whole body fitly joined together increases the body unto edifying itself in love.

For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: So also, is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit: For you are all one in Christ Jesus. But you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if any man does not have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. Be renewed in the spirit of your mind and put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness; endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; for both He that sanctifies and they who are sanctified are all of one. Hear: The LORD our God is one LORD, and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your might.

You believe that there is one God, you do well: The devils also believe, and tremble, for the gospel of Christ is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes. Before our Redeemer conquered death on the cross after paying the price for sin which is death, He prayed: “Holy Father, keep through Your own Name those whom You have given me, that they may be one, as we are. I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that you should keep them from evil.” He added: “I and my Father are one.”

And God has both raised up the Lord and will also raise up us by His own power, that in the dispensation of the fullness of times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in Heaven, and which are on Earth. For He is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of partition between us; for through Him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication with gladness and singleness of heart, endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! For there the Lord, in whom you also are built together for a habitation of God through the Spirit commanded the blessing: Even life for evermore.

You are my witnesses, says the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none besides Me. I am the Lord, and there is none else. Assemble yourselves and come, draw near together, you that are escaped of the nations: They that set up the wood of their graven image have no knowledge and pray unto a god that cannot save.

Behold, I will gather them out of all countries: And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new Spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh and I will give them a heart of flesh.
