Midnight Sun - The First Commandment

The mighty God, even the Lord, has spoken, and called the Earth from the rising of the sun unto its going down: Thou shalt have no other gods before Me.

And I saw, under the sun, the place of Judgment: That wickedness was there. So, I considered all the oppression that are done under the sun: And behold the tears of the oppressed. The heart of the sons of Man is full of Evil, and after that they go to the Dead. There are those among you that have wrought wickedness in the sight of the Lord your God, in transgressing His covenant, and have gone and served other gods, and worshiped them – either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of Heaven. You have said in your heart: I will ascend into Heaven, upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north. Thus, out of the north, an Evil shall break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land and he shall come: From the rising of the sun shall he call upon God’s Name and he shall come upon princes as the potter treads clay - but God will remove far off from you the northern army and his stink shall come up, because he has done great things. Is it fit to say to a king: You are wicked? In a moment they shall die, and the people shall be troubled at midnight, and pass away: And the mighty shall be taken away without hand. There is no darkness, nor shadow of Death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.

At midnight, I will rise to give thanks to God because of His righteous judgments. And at midnight there will be a cry: Behold, the bridegroom comes! In the Day when the Lord delivers, He says: Sun, stand thou still. And the sun stands still, and the moon stills, until the people have avenged themselves upon their enemies. And God puts down the idolatrous priests and them that burn incense to Baal, to the sun, to the moon, to the planets and to all the host of Heaven. Thus, let all your enemies perish, O Lord; but let he that loves God be as the sun when he goes forth in his might: And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun rises. Then, to you that fear the Name of God, shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in His wings. Then, shall the righteous shine forth as the Sun in the kingdom of their Father: And there will appear a great wonder in Heaven - a woman clothed with the Sun and the Lamb is its light, for the Lord God is a Sun and shield: No good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Hear now my voice, I will give you counsel, and God shall be with you: And you shall teach ordinances and laws and shall show people the Way where they must walk. If you shall do this, and God commands you so, then you shall be able to endure, and all this people shall also go to their place in peace.

The Law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for the unholy and profane: Hear the Word of the Lord, you rulers of Sodom; give ear to the Law of our God, you people of Gomorrah. To the Law and to the testimony: If they do not speak according to this Word, it is because there is no light in them. The Earth also is defiled under the its inhabitants; because they have transgressed the laws and broken the everlasting Covenant. For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our King; He will save us.

Hear, O Earth: Behold, I will bring Evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not listened to my words, nor to my Law, but rejected it; because your fathers have forsaken Me, says the Lord, and have walked after other gods, and have worshipped them, and have forsaken Me, and have not kept My Law. They are not humbled even unto this day, neither have they feared. You have sinned against the Lord; therefore, this Evil is happened to you, as at this day. But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he has committed, and keep all My statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

See, I have set before you this day: Life and good, and Death and evil; in that I command you this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His Commandments, that you may live and multiply. Then, the Lord thy God shall bless you in the land where you go to possess it. But if your heart turns away, so that you will not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods; I denounce to you this day, that you shall perish. I call Heaven and Earth to record this day against you, that I have set Life and Death, blessing and cursing before you: Therefore, choose life, that both you and your seed may live.

The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this Law: You shall observe to do forever more; and you shall not fear other gods. The book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth; but you shall meditate on it, day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it: For then you shall make your way prosperous.

Blessed is the man that does not walk in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the Way of sinners. But his delight is in the Law of the Lord; and in His Law does he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth his fruit in his season and whatsoever he does shall prosper. The ungodly are not so: But are like the chaff which the wind drives away. Therefore, the ungodly shall not stand in the Judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the Lord knows the Way of the righteous, but the Way of the ungodly shall perish. Every man shall be put to Death for his own sin.

And whatever cause shall come to you of your brethren, between blood and blood, between Law and commandment; you shall warn them that they do not trespass against the Lord, so Wrath comes upon you, and upon your brethren.

Receive, I pray, the Law from His mouth, and lay up His words upon your heart. The Law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. And it shall be for a sign upon your hand, and for a memorial between your eyes, that the Lord’s Law may be in your mouth. For the Commandment is a lamp; and the Law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the Way of Life: Keep the Commandments, and live; and the Law as the apple of your eye, to depart from the snares of Death.

As it is written in the Law of Moses, all this Evil is come upon us: Yet, we did not make our prayer before the Lord our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand Truth. Thus, says the Lord: My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Set the trumpet to your mouth: He shall come as an eagle against the house of the Lord, because they have transgressed My Covenant, and trespassed against My Law. Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: The soul that sins, it shall die.

If you will not observe to do all the words of this Law that are written in the Book, that you may fear this glorious and fearful Name: THE LORD THY GOD; then the Lord will make your plagues wonderful, great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance.

Horror has taken hold upon me because of the wicked that forsake your Law. Remove from us the Way of lying: The workers with familiar spirits and all the abominations. Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and your Law is the Truth.

Jesus Christ said: Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the First and great Commandment. And the second is like it: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two Commandments hang all the Law. Where the Word of a King is, there is Power: Who keeps the Commandment shall feel no Evil, and a wise man's heart discerns both time and Judgment. Because to every purpose there is time and Judgment, therefore the misery of man is great upon him. For he does not know what shall be: There is no man that has power over the spirit to retain the spirit; neither has he power in the day of Death. And there is no discharge in that war; neither shall wickedness deliver those that are given to it.

May the Lord give you wisdom and understanding, that you may keep the Law of the Lord thy God. Whoever commits sin transgresses also the Law: For sin is the transgression of the Law. Whosoever shall keep the whole Law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. For not the hearers of the Law are just before God, but the doers of the Law shall be justified. We know that the Law is good, if a man uses it lawfully. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them their God, and they shall be to Me a people.

For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestine to be conformed to the image of his Son: For this corruptible must put on non-corruption, and this mortal must put on immortality; and as we have borne the image of the earthly, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

And Jesus Christ said: These are the words which I spoke to you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the Law and in the psalms, concerning Me. And almost all things are, by the Law, purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. Be it known to you therefore, that through this man, is preached to you the forgiveness of sins: For He, whom God raised again, saw no corruption. And by Him, all that believe are justified from what they could not be justified by the Law of Moses. We establish the Law: The Law is holy, and the Commandment holy, and just, and good. For the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has made us free from the law of sin and Death. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: Against such there is no law.

Then Jesus said: To inherit eternal Life, what is written in the Law? Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thyself. But who is thy neighbor? Which man is a neighbor unto him that falls among the thieves? He that shows mercy on him and takes care of him. Love works no ill to his neighbor: Therefore, love is the fulfilling of the Law. All things you would that men should do to you, do you so to them: For this is the Law and the prophets. Woe unto you, for ye have omitted the weightier matters of the Law: Judgment, mercy and faith.

Thus, says the Lord: Do not think that I have come to destroy the Law: I have not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you: Until Heaven and Earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no way pass from the Law, until all be fulfilled. Whoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of Heaven. But if the Law of his God is in his heart, none of his steps shall slide. And at Midnight, shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in His wings: For the Lord God is a Sun and the Lamb is its light!
