There was a Man whose son had a spirit; and whenever it would seize him, it would tear him apart: Then the boy would foam, and gnash his teeth, and be utterly miserable…
So, the people brought him before Jesus Christ and immediately the spirit tore the boy until he fell to the ground, foaming. And the father said: This demon came to him since he was a child and often, it has cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him. If you can do anything, have compassion on us, and help us!
Thus, Jesus Christ said to him: If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes. Immediately, the father cried out, and said with tears: Lord, I believe; help my unbelief! And Jesus rebuked the foul spirit, saying to it: You dumb and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him and do not enter into him anymore. So,the spirit cried, and tore the boy painfully, and came out of him. Then, the boy looked dead and the people said: He is dead! But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up; and he stood up.
It had thus come about that the people had provoked God to anger with strange gods, with abominations: For they had sacrificed to demons, not to God, but to gods whom they did not know. Of the Rock who had begotten them, they had been unmindful, and they had forgotten God who had formed them. The people had mingled with the heathen and learnt their works: They had served their idols, which had been a snare to them. They had even sacrificed their children to demons and shed innocent blood until the land was polluted with blood. They had defiled themselves with their own works and they had gone whoring with their own inventions.
It was such, that the Wrath of the Lord was kindled against His people. Thus, He gave them into the hands of the heathen; and they that hated them, ruled over them. Their enemies oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under their hand.
The things which the heathen sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons, and not to God: God does not want you to have fellowship with demons. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of demons: You cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of demons. You believe that there is one God; you do well: The demons also believe, and tremble…
Thus, three unclean spirits like frogs have come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. They are the spirits of demons, working miracles; and they go to the kings of the Earth and to the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great Day of God Almighty. It has therefore become the habitation of demons, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird! For all nations have drunk of the wine of the Wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the Earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the Earth have become rich through the abundance of her delicacies. Thus, says the Lord: Come out of her; My people, that you do not partake of her sins and that you do not receive of her plagues. For her sins have reached up to Heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities…
The power of demons is in their mouth and in their tails: For their tails are like serpents that have heads with which they do hurt. But the rest of mankind that is not killed by their plagues, refuses to repent of the works of their hands; that they should not worship demons, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and wood. Nor do they repent of their murders, sorceries, fornication and thefts.
And behold, there comes out of the Earth a great smoke, an army of locusts that covers the Earth: The locusts have a king over them, that is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in Greek is Apollon, and they have tails like scorpions and their power is to hurt men for five months. For God has given them power such as the power of the scorpions of the Earth and God has commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the Earth, neither any green thing; but only those men who do not have the seal of God in their foreheads. And to God’s great army, it is given that they should not kill those men, but that they should be tormented for five months. In those days shall men desire to die, but Death shall flee from them. But, do not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and the Lord has appointed you each day for a year.
Behold, says Jesus Christ to His disciples: I give you power to tread over serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. However, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in Heaven! I will make you fishers of men; go to the lost sheep and preach, saying: The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons: Freely you have received, freely give. If you cast out demons by the Spirit of God, then the Kingdom of God is come to you: For God has regarded the affliction of His people, when He heard their cry; He has remembered for them His Covenant and He has repented according to the multitude of His mercies.
Thus, he who believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that does not believe shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe: In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth shall they cast out demons; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Go and show how great are the things that God has done for you! For Jesus Christ has given His disciples power and authority over all demons and to cure all diseases. Demons are thus subjected to them through His Name.
But it shall come to pass, that, if you will not listen to the voice of the Lord your God, to observe to do all His commandments; then all these curses shall come upon you: The Lord will strike you with the plagues of Egypt of which you cannot not be healed. The Lord will also strike you with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart: And you shall grope at noon, as the blind gropes in darkness; and you shall be oppressed and taken as spoil forever more.
But if the followers of Jesus Christ cast out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come to you: Otherwise, how can someone enter into a strongman's house, and take his goods as spoil, unless he first binds the strongman? For we know that, if our earthly house that is this body is to be dissolved, we have a house that is eternal in the Heavens. There are celestial bodies and terrestrial bodies: Such is the resurrection of the dead, for the body is sown in corruption but it is raised in incorruptibility; it is sown a natural body, but it is raised a spiritual body. Thus, it is written: The first Man, Adam, was made a living soul; but the last Adam is made a quickening spirit. And as we have borne the image of the earthly, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. Flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God; neither does corruption inherit incorruptibility.
Behold, when you are made whole: Sin no more, unless a worse thing comes to you. For when an unclean spirit is gone out of a man, it walks through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. Then it says: I will return into my house from where I came out; and when it comes, it finds it empty, swept, and garnished. So, it goes and takes seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they enter in and dwell there: And the last state of that man is worse than the first. Thus, all types of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven: But blasphemy against the Holy Spirit shall not be forgiven. For, when the Spirit of the Lord departs from a person, an Evil spirit from the Lord will trouble him.
Therefore, every tree that does not produce good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire: By their fruits, you shall discern them. Not everyone who says “Lord, Lord!”, shall enter the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of his Father who is in Heaven. Many will say in the Day of the Lord: Lord, have we not prophesied in your Name? And in your Name, have cast out demons? And in your Name, have done many wonderful works? And God will profess to them: I never knew you; depart from Me, you that work iniquity. Thus, whoever hears the Word of God and does accordingly, will be like a wise man, who built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended upon them, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded upon a rock. And Jesus said: Did you never read in the scriptures, that the stone which the builders rejected has become the head of the corner, this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? So, the Kingdom of God will be given to a nation bringing forth its fruit.
Thus, when Jesus rebuked Peter, saying: Get behind Me, Satan; for you do not like the things that are of God, but the things that are of men; He added: Whoever will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me! For whoever will save his life shall lose it; but whoever shall lose his life for My sake and the Gospel's, will save it. What shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
For it comes to pass, that when beggars die and are carried by angels, that the rich also die. And in Hell, when they lift-up their eyes, being in torment, and they see the beggars in Heaven, then they cry: Have mercy on me, for I am tormented in this flame! I pray that you would send someone to my father's house to testify to them, so they do not also come into this place of torment! But God says: If they do not listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be convinced even though someone rises from the dead.
For, before Jesus Christ took upon Himself all our infirmities and raised from the dead, the people brought to Him all those that were taken with various diseases and torments. They brought to Him those who were possessed by demons, those who were epileptic, those who had palsy; and He healed them. Many people were possessed by demons and He cast out the spirits with His Word and He also healed all who were sick.
It came about that Jesus Christ met a man possessed with demons which were so fierce that no man could pass by that way, and the demons cried out: What do we have to do with you, Jesus, Son of God? Have you come here to torment us before the time? If you cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine! So, Jesus said: Go. When they came out, they went into the herd of swine and the whole herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea and perished in the waters. Then, the people went out to see what had happened; and they found the man out of whom the demons had been cast out, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind. So, they told everyone how he who was possessed by demons and who was always, night and day, in the mountains, crying and cutting himself with stones, was now healed.
And there a man, in the synagogue, who had an unclean spirit; and, when it saw Jesus, it cried out: Leave us alone! What do we have to do with you, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are: The Holy One of God. And Jesus rebuked him: Hold your peace and come out of him. And when the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, it came out of him.
Now, the Holy Spirit speaks that in the latter days, some shall depart from the faith, and will listen to seducing spirits, and to doctrines of demons; that speak lies in hypocrisy, until their conscience is seared with a hot iron. They will forbid to marry and will command to abstain from meat, which God has created to be received with thanksgiving by them who believe and know the Truth.
It shall come to pass, says the Lord of the armies of Heaven, that I will cut off the names of the idols and I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirits to pass out of the land. And when any person shall still prophesy, his father will say: You shall not live, for you speak lies in the Name of the Lord. In that Day, the prophets shall be ashamed of their visions.
Thus, our Father delivers us from the power of darkness and into the Kingdom of His Son, who is the image of the invisible God: In Jesus Christ we have redemption through His blood, that is the forgiveness of sins. Thus, says Jesus Christ to His disciples: I have forgiven you all your sins, because you asked Me. Should you not also have compassion on your fellow servants, even as I had pity on you? Therefore, if you, from your hearts, do not forgive your brothers their trespasses, the Lord will be full of Wrath and will deliver you to the tormentors, until you pay all that was due to Him.Forgive, and you shall be forgiven: God is Love.
Behold, it is written: There is no fear in Love; but perfect Love casts out fear, because fear has torment. He that fears, is not made perfect in Love. If you then, being Evil, know how to give good gifts to your children: How much more shall your Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask Him?
